My consulting services are based on practice, not theory. There’s a saying: “Those who can’t do, teach.” I know many consultants with good intentions have never actually led a business. They often rely on theory, templated frameworks, or secondhand knowledge. Some of these consultants deliver excellent work, while others lack depth.
My approach is different. I put myself in the shoes of those with whom I am working. Instinct, recall, and practice guide me through the consulting relationship. I get in the fox hole with my client and facilitate our way to achieving the stated goals.
I listen more than I talk, and believe that consulting services should focus on the client, not the consultant. My role is to guide clients to find the right answers, not dictate them. Along the way, I share both my successes and my mistakes. My Career in Brief
I am a seasoned executive whose 35-year career was rooted in the private sector of higher education. The last 9 years of my career were spent as CEO/President of DeVry University (DVU) and Keller Graduate School of Management, overseeing an employee base of ~7,500, an enrollment of 90,000 students, and revenues of more than $1.4 billion.
